About the Artist
I LOVE TO DRAW!! I can never remember a time in my life when I wasn't covered in pastel dust. Painting art for children and adults! I most enjoy paintings that tell a story capturing a memory or wistful feeling..
My primary career had been as a portraitist. I have literally done hundreds of portraits that are hanging in hospitals, universities and homes. Including USA Senator and Congresswoman. Now, I am pursuing my first love; painting pictures for and about children. A third generation artist, my family members include my grandfather, the nationally recognized muralist, Vincent Maragliotti, (example: Philadelphia capitol dome), Aunt Iris Guarducci, a Pulitzer prize winner in portraits and my mother, Gina Tetzlaff, a prominent New York dress designer and portraitist. I established the first portrait and pastel classes at the Huntington Museum of Art where I taught. I am former President of the Tri State Arts Association . I have been juror for numerous exhibitions. I presented extensive lectures and workshops including the Armand Hamer Collection, area school workshops for students and teachers, and various civic groups.
